1. About JAPAN-ITEMS™

JAPAN-ITEMS™ is a curated international retail store offering selected objects sourced from Japan.

The Store focuses primarily on pre-owned, vintage, collectible, discontinued, rare and otherwise limited-availability objects, including cameras, musical instruments, audio equipment, watches, bags, jewellery, fashion accessories, collectibles and selected lifestyle objects.

JAPAN-ITEMS™ is operated by Japan Items Group sp. z o.o.

Customers purchasing through the Store enter into a transaction with Japan Items Group sp. z o.o., subject to the applicable Terms & Conditions and other Store policies.

2. JAPAN-ITEMS™ Is Not a Marketplace

JAPAN-ITEMS™ is not a marketplace.

Customers do not purchase products directly from third-party sellers or marketplaces in Japan.

Third-party sellers, sourcing partners, fulfilment providers, logistics providers, customs brokers, payment providers and carriers may participate in the sourcing, payment, handling, fulfilment, customs and delivery process.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer-facing seller remains:

3. Product Sourcing and Availability

Many products offered through JAPAN-ITEMS™ are unique, pre-owned, vintage, discontinued or otherwise limited in availability and are sourced individually from Japan.

A product displayed on the Store may therefore not yet be physically held by JAPAN-ITEMS™ at the time an order is submitted.

Following an order, JAPAN-ITEMS™ may confirm availability, sourcing feasibility, international shipping eligibility and fulfilment.

If an ordered product is no longer available or cannot reasonably be fulfilled, JAPAN-ITEMS™ may cancel the affected item and provide the applicable refund.

Where appropriate, JAPAN-ITEMS™ may instead offer an alternative comparable product.

No alternative product will be supplied without the customer's express approval.

4. Free International Shipping

Unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase, JAPAN-ITEMS™ provides standard international shipping at no additional charge to the customer for destinations supported by the Store.

No separate standard international shipping fee is added to the customer's order at checkout.

The underlying economic cost of international delivery is borne by JAPAN-ITEMS™ and may be reflected in the overall pricing of products.

Accordingly, “Free Shipping” means that the customer is not charged a separate standard shipping fee in addition to the price presented for the order.

5. Duties & Taxes Included

Unless expressly stated otherwise before purchase, standard import duties, import taxes and standard customs charges applicable to the normal delivery of an order are included in the price paid by the customer and are handled by JAPAN-ITEMS™ or its logistics partners.

JAPAN-ITEMS™ does not represent international shipments as inherently tax-free, duty-free or exempt from customs requirements.

Where standard import duties or taxes legally apply, their cost is included within the applicable all-inclusive transaction price rather than being charged separately to the customer during normal delivery.

If a carrier, customs broker, customs authority, postal operator or delivery provider unexpectedly requests payment of a standard import duty, import tax, VAT or standard customs-clearance charge covered by the JAPAN-ITEMS™ all-inclusive arrangement, the customer should contact:

as soon as reasonably possible and, where practical, before making payment.

If immediate payment is reasonably necessary to prevent delivery failure or return of the shipment, the customer may make the payment and should contact JAPAN-ITEMS™ promptly afterwards with valid proof of payment.

Where the paid charge was covered by the applicable JAPAN-ITEMS™ all-inclusive arrangement, JAPAN-ITEMS™ will reimburse the covered amount after verification of reasonable and valid proof of payment.

6. Estimated Delivery

The estimated delivery timeframe for international orders is generally 7–21 business days.

This timeframe may include order processing, sourcing, domestic transportation within Japan, preparation, export processing, international transportation, customs clearance and local delivery.

The timeframe is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date unless a specific date has expressly been agreed.

International orders may occasionally take longer because of sourcing delays, customs procedures, carrier disruption, severe weather, holidays, regulatory requirements or other circumstances outside JAPAN-ITEMS™ reasonable control.

Mandatory customer rights relating to delayed delivery remain unaffected.

7. Returns and Consumer Rights

Return and refund rights depend on the customer's location, applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.

For eligible consumers in the European Union, a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal generally applies to qualifying online purchases, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

For orders delivered to customers in the United States, JAPAN-ITEMS™ does not generally offer discretionary change-of-mind returns and purchases are generally final sale unless otherwise expressly stated or required by applicable law.

Final-sale rules do not exclude mandatory remedies relating to damaged, incorrect, materially misdescribed, defective, non-conforming or undelivered products.

The JAPAN-ITEMS™ brand, Store presentation, original website design, original text, graphics, logos, photographs and other original materials may be protected by intellectual-property rights owned by or licensed to Japan Items Group sp. z o.o. or by the respective rights holders.

Third-party trademarks, brand names and other intellectual-property rights remain the property of their respective owners.

Nothing on the Store transfers ownership of intellectual-property rights to the user.

Store content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, sold or commercially exploited without appropriate permission, except where permitted by applicable law.

11. Third-Party Services

JAPAN-ITEMS™ may use third-party services in connection with operation of the Store, including e-commerce infrastructure, payment processing, sourcing, logistics, customs handling, delivery, analytics, marketing and customer support.

The involvement of such providers does not alter the identity of Japan Items Group sp. z o.o. as the customer-facing seller unless expressly stated otherwise.

12. Mandatory Legal Rights

Nothing in this Legal Notice is intended to exclude, restrict or waive a consumer, privacy or other statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived.

Where a provision of this Legal Notice conflicts with mandatory applicable law, that mandatory law will prevail to the extent of the conflict.
