The PENTAX istDL2 digital SLR camera, released in February 2006, offers a unique preview function that allows users to choose between optical and digital preview modes. In digital preview mode, the shutter briefly captures an image displayed on the rear LCD, which can be cleared with a half-press of the shutter button. This model does not feature live view on the rear screen, so composition is done through the viewfinder.
This camera is in working condition with some scratches and signs of wear. The included smc PENTAX-DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL lens has minor internal dust that does not affect image quality. Firmware has been updated to support both SD and SDHC cards, and the viewfinder shows slight clouding without affecting performance. A Kenko PRO1D 52mm protector filter and a PENTAX branded strap with a viewfinder shade compartment are also included.
