The Technics RS-M88 is a stereo cassette deck featuring a two-head single cassette design with new SX Sendust heads for recording and playback, as well as a double gap Sendust ferrite head for erasing. It includes a quartz lock digital FG servo direct drive motor for the capstan and a coreless motor for the reels, delivering frequency response ranges up to 20Hz–20kHz depending on tape type.
This unit powers on but currently does not operate the tape mechanism, making it suitable for repair or parts. It shows light signs of wear without noticeable scratches or marks and measures approximately 450mm wide, 97mm high, and 403mm deep, weighing around 10.5kg.
