The Yamaha FG-512SJ is an acoustic guitar that has been carefully maintained and upgraded for enhanced performance. It features a straight neck with a gentle C-shaped profile and a nut width of approximately 43mm. The guitar has new Elixir Nanoweb light gauge phosphor bronze strings installed, and the action measures about 2.6mm on the 6th string and 1.75mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret, delivering clear and resonant Yamaha tonal qualities.
This instrument has undergone thorough cleaning and fret polishing, with the fingerboard and bridge treated with wax for preservation. The pickguard has been replaced with a new Yamaha plastic model, and the bridge pins upgraded to gold brass. Despite some minor scratches and marks consistent with use, the guitar remains in overall very good condition. It includes a Yamaha gig bag and a Takamine synthetic leather strap.
