This battery grip is designed for use with the EOS R5 Mark II and supports a 2.5GBASE-T Ethernet wired LAN connection, enabling faster data transfer speeds compared to the previous 1000BASE-T standard. It allows FTP transfers and remote shooting via EOS Utility when attached to the EOS R5 Mark II. For EOS R5, EOS R6 Mark II, and EOS R6 models, the grip functions solely as a battery grip without wired LAN capability.
The grip accommodates two LP-E6 series batteries, including LP-E6P, LP-E6NH, LP-E6N, and LP-E6, and can charge these batteries via a USB Type-C connection using compatible USB adapters. Its button layout and multi-controller are optimized for comfortable vertical shooting, and it offers dust and drip resistance comparable to the EOS R5 Mark II camera body. Please note that some features such as network functions, multi-accessory shoe accessories, and certain video capabilities may have limitations depending on the battery used and camera model.
