The Yamaha BB234 VSC3 pickup assembly set includes a precision-type pickup with an 8.75kΩ resistance and a jazz-type pickup with a 9.08kΩ resistance, both featuring ceramic magnets known for delivering a bright, focused tone with low noise. This PJ configuration offers versatility across various musical styles, combining the powerful presence of the precision pickup with the funky character of the jazz pickup.
The set comes complete with cushions, mounting screws, ALPHA pots, capacitors, jack, and wiring, providing all necessary components to assemble a PJ bass pickup system. These pickups were removed from a Yamaha BB234 purchased new in July 2026 and are in almost new condition, having been used only a few times without visible wear.
